The highlight of your run – readers' best pictures
Winning bronze for Team GB at the Deaflympics marathon: This is me after i've finished third and claimed the first medal (bronze) for Team GB at this summer's Deaflympics in the marathon. One very proud marathon runner – this was my first Deaflympic Games Photograph: ID075763Beer at the finish line in Berlin half marathon: The best thing about completing the Berlin half marathon, a cold beer at the finish line! This could only happen in Germany, the beer-drinking nation. It even felt rude not to participate as you staggered past the finishing post. Fantastic race with tasty beer – one for your running calendar Photograph: ID0757519Dazed and confused after Running from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam: Someone told me it was about 26 miles from where we were staying to the Hoover Dam. I decided to run it the next day and felt slightly delusional by the end of it! The picture sums up why I love running: the sense of adventure and of going where I've not been before and seeing things I've never seen Photograph: EdwardBanks
Taking in the north Cornish Coast with Off Roadents: On our regular weekly runs, we take in some of the hardest climbs but are rewarded with the most amazing views. Some braver than others! Photograph: laratrewinSome support to keep me moooving: I was flagging a bit during a recent run in Belper, Derbyshire when I spotted these guys who came to say hello. I waved at them and took a photo. The cars driving past must have thought I was mad Photograph: ID420433Olympic legacy: From being a non-runner, I started running via the C25k plan last year in the runup to the Olympics. Having watched dreams come true over the course of the games, I obtained a place on the five mile run around the Olympic Park (the last 300m in the stadium) right before they were due to host the Anniversary Games in July this year. Last year this sign was just art outside the Copper Box. This year it was an inspiration at around the two-mile point as I jogged pastPhotograph: Lisa Hatfield1.5K with my daughter: The highlight of my run (10K) was the post-race kids' run … she did so well! Photograph: artpunxThe enchiladas waiting for me at the end of my run: The highlight of an evening run around my local area is knowing I will return home to this huge plate of delicious enchiladas and not feel guilty about eating them all Photograph: dizzyupthekatSnowdonia: Crashing through sheets of ice in Snowdonia in January 2013. A lot more fun than it looks! Photograph: MichelNeyRunning can be stunning: This is the view of Lake Lugano on my running route when I visit our head office in Switzerland. The path skirts the mountains around the lake and without running along here, I would never have seen such a breathtaking view. This is the beauty of running: discovering new, magical snippets of nature and experiencing moments of pure tranquility when actually your body is hurting all overPhotograph: jglass10
