Beer at the finish line in Berlin half marathon: The best thing about completing the Berlin half marathon, a cold beer at the finish line! This could only happen in Germany, the beer-drinking nation. Dazed and confused after Running from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam: Someone told me it was about 26 miles from where we were staying to the Hoover Dam. I decided to run it the next day and felt slightly delusional by the end of it! Olympic legacy: From being a non-runner, I started running via the C25k plan last year in the runup to the Olympics. Having watched dreams come true over the course of the games, I obtained a place on the five mile run around the Olympic Park (the last 300m in the stadium) right before they were due to host the Anniversary Games in July this year. Running can be stunning: This is the view of Lake Lugano on my running route when I visit our head office in Switzerland. The path skirts the mountains around the lake and without running along here, I would never have seen such a breathtaking view.
