The hidden role Mohamed Salah played in Naby Keita's first season at Liverpool

Naby Keita has revealed the important role Mohamed Salah played in helping him settle in at Liverpool.

The midfielder, who is currently on international duty with Guinea, arrived at Anfield last summer.

And when asked about his relationship with the record-breaking goalscorer, the No.8 revealed how Salah took him under his wing during his first months at Melwood.

Speaking to CAF, Keita admitted: "(We get on) very well, he always gives me some advice on the pitch in Liverpool.

"He’s a nice guy who works hard. When he works at the gym, he always asks me to join him.

"He looks after me like I’m his little brother."

Both players are currently on Africa Cup of Nations duty in Egypt.

Keita, who made his return from injury in Guinea's 2-2 draw with Madagascar, will be in action on Wednesday afternoon as his side take on Nigeria in their second Group B clash.

While the Pharaohs will do battle with DR Congo on Wednesday evening, as Salah's team set to make it two wins from two.
