A jewellery expert has revealed the hidden message behind the simple rose gold ring Kate Middleton is sometimes seen wearing.
The Duchess of Cambridge's engagement ring is sapphire and diamond piece, which used to belong to Prince William's mother Princess Diana.
However, there is another ring which Kate occasionally wears which is also special to her, Mirror Online reports.
She wore it to her graduation after receiving it as a gift from William while they were dating at St Andrew's University.
Eddie LeVian, CEO of LeVian jewellers, spoke of the huge significance of the ring and how it marked an important "milestone".

He told the Express : "This beautiful, delicate ring is understated in style, but the very personal message hidden within it from a future King makes it an enormously romantic royal jewel."
"It’s no surprise Kate was seen wearing it at her graduation.
"This was a milestone marking her own achievements but also a day which put her on the threshold of a new chapter in her life together with William beyond university.
"The ring is adorned with both Kate and William’s birthstones, in a celebration of their bond and the beginning of their intertwined destiny."
Will finally got down on one knee and asked Kate to be his wife in 2010 after whisking her off to Kenya.
