A Southport pub is looking to take on a new general manager with an impressive salary and one major job perk.
The Hesketh Arms on Botanic Road in Churchtown is a traditional 18th century pub that's now run by the Vintage Inns chain.
With its cask ales, beer garden and extensive menu, the pub is a much-loved feature in the area and popular with families.
Now the Hesketh Arms is hiring a general manager with an annual salary of £40,000 to run the pub.
The role also comes with one major bonus - there's the option free accommodation in a two-bedroom home as part of the position.
An online listing calls for an experienced general manager with "a proven track record and great leadership skills".
The job involves managing and training a team of staff, making sure guests receive the highest standards of service and acting like a host.
As general manager, the successful candidate would also need to work towards achieving business targets and spend time developing the team at the pub.
For the person who gets offered the position, there will be a structured and comprehensive induction, with a full training programme that aims to allow the manager "to be promoted further".
There's also a bonus scheme, pension scheme and flexible benefits scheme including high-street discounts.
Part of the Mitchells & Butlers group, which has 1,784 pubs, bars and restaurants throughout the country, Vintage Inns sought out pubs in "picturesque locations with the rural character".
