The Helix to host charity performance of the Three Musketeers Panto in aid of Barretstown

A special charity performance of the Three Musketeers Panto will be held in aid of Barretstown Children's Charity.

The show will take place on Thursday, December 12, in The Helix in Dublin City University (DCU) with all proceeds on the night going directly to the charity.

Tickets are priced at €21.50 per seat which will help raise funds for Barretstown who offer free, specially designed camps and programmes for children and their families living with a serious illness.

Earlier this year, DCU announced a three-year partnership with Barretstown Children’s Charity to support their work.

Michael Brady, General Manager of The Helix said:"On behalf of the team at The Helix we are thrilled to team up with Barretstown as our charity partner, a charity that resonates with families who come to enjoy the show during the festive period.

"We’re hoping for a sold out show on the night, with all the proceeds going towards the remarkable services Barretstown provide."

Claire Tighe, CEO of TheatreWorX Productions said: "We are delighted to partner with Barretstown Children’s Charity as our nominated charity this year, we’re hoping that we’ll have a full house on December 12 and raise much needed funds for this worthy cause."

CEO of Barretstown Children’s Charity, Dee Ahearn said: "We are really delighted to be chosen as charity partner for the Helix Panto this year.  It’s a very exciting end to what has been a hugely important year for us as we celebrate our 25th anniversary and the milestone of having served our 50,000th camper.

"Every year we need to raise over €6 million to run our therapeutic programmes to serve children affected by serious illness, and their families.

"The services provided to all of the children and families who come to Barretstown are entirely free of charge, so fundraising efforts are vital for us to help more seriously ill children to experience the magic of Barretstown each year. Childhood stops for seriously ill children."
