The Helix has been crowned the “Best Purpose Built Venue” at the 2019 Event Industry Awards.
The iconic venue, located on the DCU campus, beat the Aviva Stadium, Guinness Storehouse and the RDS amongst others at the awards on Friday night.
Michael Brady, general manager of The Helix, said: “We are delighted that The Helix was declared the overall winner of ‘Best Purpose Built Venue’ on Friday night.
“We strive to be the best in our field and it’s a fantastic acknowledgement to win amongst companies and teams who are reaching the highest standards in the industry.
“I would like to thank the wider DCU community for its continuing support of the venue and to congratulate and thank the entire staff at The Helix who have been so instrumental in embracing and driving new initiatives which have in no small way led to the winning of this very important and significant award.”
The Helix first opened its doors in 2002 and has since been the venue of choice for international performing artists, global conferences, and many local businesses.
