The Heckle 14: Poetic justice

Seeing double ... John Hegley

In today's show, beamed to you from Edinburgh's sylvan Meadows, we go keyboard-shopping with David O'Doherty. His stand-up set is underscored by the tinkling of cheap Casio ivories, so we took him upmarket, to sample the wares at the Edinburgh Organ Studio.

Also in this penultimate edition, we wax lyrical with the nation's unofficial poet laureate and all-round excellent fellow, John Hegley, who's back in Edinburgh this year with his latest comic verse compendium, Letter to an Earwig. And we hear from Irish comic and Vikings fan Neil Delamere, who's apparently being touted as the new Dara O'Briain. (Wonder how Dara O'Briain feels about that.)

Which pretty much rounds things up for me, as I reluctantly quit the world's greatest knees-up for another year. But you can hear Pascal Wyse and Lucy Porter on tomorrow's final, extended instalment of the Heckle, as they examine the art of laughter and look back at the Fringe of 2007, with special guests Stephen K Amos and Carrie Quinlan.
