The heartwarming moment baby hears mother's voice for first time

The heartwarming moment a baby hears her mother's voice with new hearing aids has been caught on camera.

The video of four-month-old Georgina, who was born severely deaf, was posted on Twitter by proud parents Louise and Paul.

In the clip, the baby squeals with happiness when she suddenly hears her mum's voice after her hearing aids are switched on, Wales Online reports .

She then looks around in amazement and smiles to the camera.

As Georgina lets out a big, joyful squeal, her mother replies: "Oh wow, that's a very loud hello"

Father Paul said: "It's always great to see your child happy and be able to access sound.

"Her hearing has gotten much better as far as we know, we still have to do more tests but it's been a positive start.

"The love from many people on Twitter has been very heart-warming and touching."

The 32-year-old from Harrogate says she has been wearing hearing aids for the last six weeks and admitted "what she had at first to what she has now is phenomenal."

The clip on Twitter has been viewed more than 170,000 times at the time of writing.

One person commented: "As a dad of two little people this is one of the best things I have ever seen in my life."

Another said: "Wonderful the quality of modern hearing aids. An immediate response from the gorgeous baby!! Deafness will not hold her back."
