The Boston Celtics are going to miss veteran point guard Marcus Smart on and off the court. The Flower Mound native has been among the most engaged players on the team in having made the city his home and a community he uses his platform to support. And on the court, he has almost always brought his best game to bear whether it was the NBA Finals or mid-November as he did the dirty work on defense few have a taste for as he did.
From cobra strikes to timely shots from beyond the arc to being the voice the ball club needed to hear when things were going sideways, there will be no singular replacement for the Texan floor general.
