The health form you will need to fill to enter Spain now because of covid-19

People travelling to Spain now have to fill a health form in order to enter the country because of coronavirus.

The Government of Spain has implemented a series of measures to control the spread of covid-19 which include a health control of passengers upon arrival to the country.

Among other measures, tourists will have their temperature checked at the airport's sanitary control and will have to show a health control form.

In order to obtain the form travellers have to visit a website by the Spanish Government's Department of Health.

It says on the website: "Each form is personal and non-transferable and is associated with a single trip.

"From July 1, 2020, if you fly to Spain from other countries, it is mandatory to fill out and sign the FCS form associated with your trip, regardless of your nationality, age or any other consideration.

"This form must be completed by each of the passengers who will be responsible for ensuring that the information provided is true and accurate."

The health declaration form, known as the FCS form, can be started at any point but the health questions can only be filled out in the 48 hours before arriving to Spain.

This is to ensure health information is as up-to-date as possible.

Once the form is signed, online or via the mobile app, travellers will receive the personalised Health QR Code that they will have to show (paper or mobile) at the airport health control to be able to enter the country.

Details on the form include your name and address, passport number, flight details, information about the stay in Spain and email address.

Health questions must also be answered.

The system, which also applies to any arrivals by sea, is part of the control measures to try and prevent coronavirus coming in from abroad.

On arrival, all passengers will also go through electronic temperature checks and a visual inspection.

If they fail any one of the three parts, they will be required to see a doctor, as the Express reports.

Anyone who doesn't have a QR code is likely to be refused entry to Spain and if health officials have doubts about the person's state of health or that they may have mixed with someone who has coronavirus, they would be put in quarantine or sent home.

In Spain, the use of a face mask is mandatory in all public outdoor and closed spaces if it is not possible to maintain social distancing.

"Follow the hygienic measures, keep the physical distance of 1.5 meters with anyone and come to collect your luggage individually," the government says. "You should not ravel if you have symptoms compatible with COVID-19: fever, cough, breathing difficulties, during in the last 14 days."
