The haywire Cardiff City player ratings as Aden Flint has a shocker and Josh Murphy and Kieffer Moore impress

Alex Smithies 6

None of the goals were his fault and actually had to deal with a bit of an aerial bombardment at times. A decent display from the keeper.

Perry Ng 6

Another unglamorous but relatively solid performance from the January signing. He actually looks like he shows intent when on the ball and is sound enough at the back.

Aden Flint 3

At fault for Andersen's goal, left him to double up on the striker and the gamble didn't pay off. Was clear to see he hadn't played with the other defenders for a while, or ever. Committed so many fouls, too.

Curtis Nelson 5

Made a couple of decent interventions from balls into the box, but also had a couple of shaky moments of his own.

Joel Bagan 5

For the most part he impressed. Kept it simple, did his job well and never looks fazed. But was outjumped by Woodrow for his goal.

Joe Ralls 5

Just looked swarmed in the middle at first. Couldn't apply his usual guile or attacking nous to affect the game higher up the pitch at all. But became much more involved in the second half and produced the cross for Moore's goal.

Leandro Bacuna 4

An absolute passenger in the middle of the park, which is unlike him given how energetic and lively he usually is. Couldn't make an impact at all.

Will Vaulks 6

Probably the best of the midfielders. Played a couple of lovely long passes and looks far more comfortable in that deeper-lying role. Some decent set pieces, too.

Junior Hoilett 4

Needed much more from the winger, who simply could not get anything right. A poor showing and was rightly hooked after 50 minutes.

Sheyi Ojo 6

Really couldn't get involved in the game at all at first. The ball just flew over his head and down the channel time after time. The pitch didn't help that. But gained confidence and turned home his chance nicely.

Kieffer Moore 7 (star man)

Battled away with the umpteen balls which were lumped towards him and got his reward late on. Headed home his ninth of the season and was totally deserving of it. A different side with him in the team.

Subs

Josh Murphy (on for Hoilett 50) 7 - What a difference the winger made when he came on. Set up Ojo's goal and looked lively with the ball at his feet.

Sean Morrison (on for Bacuna 59) 6 - A much-needed introduction after the defence looked a little shaky. Hopefully he is right from the off next time.

Marlon Pack (on for Ojo 90) NA.
