The haunting trailer for A Quiet Place Part II teases Cillian Murphy's role

With cinemas hopefully reopening in June, film fans will be itching to get back to their favourite theatre because simply put, nothing beats seeing a film on the big screen.

Granted, that applies to most films but there are certain movies the *really* need to be seen in the cinema and A Quiet Place: Part Two most certainly is one.

Why? Well, as fans of John Krasinski's original film will know, there's nothing quite like the atmosphere, tension and deafening silence that unfolds as the Abbott family try to survive the terrifying creatures that are hunting them.

This time around, the brilliant Cillian Murphy joins the cast as the events pick up from the finale of the first film.

In terms of the plot, we're told that following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.

Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Once again, John Krasinski is back behind the camera to direct this one and we have a feeling that that chillingly blue eye of Cillian Murphy will be put to good use in this one.

As fans of the original will remember, when the Abbott family tend to meet individuals when they're on the run from the monsters that hunt them, these people don't tend to be very welcoming.

Will Murphy be a friend or foe? All will be revealed when A Quiet Place: Part II is released in Irish cinemas.

At present, A Quiet Place Part II is due to be released in some parts of the world on Friday, 28 May, and it should be released in Irish cinemas once they're allowed to safely reopen.
