'The hard work is paying off' Leeds United fans swoon over standout player's performance in York City win

Leeds United got their pre-season campaign off to a successful start as they eased to a 5-0 win over York City at Bootham Crescent.

It took just three minutes for the Whites to score their first goal of the new season, with Jack Harrison slotting away a Pablo Hernandez cross from close range.

The visitors doubled their lead on 22 minutes when Harrison turned provider when he got to the byline and crossed for Kemar Roofe, who was able to slot home.

Pablo Hernandez made it three 12 minutes later after being teed up by Patrick Bamford and Harrison would add a fourth just before the break when he fired home from 25 yards.

Adam Forshaw's first goal in a Leeds shirt came eight minutes after the break, before Marcelo Bielsa replaced all ten outfield players for the final 30 minutes.

After a week which has seen the departure of Pontus Jansson, Leeds fans were eager to watch their side back in action and they didn't disappoint.

Harrison's brace and assist saw him grab the headlines, but supporters watching also had plenty of time for 19-year-old Alfie McCalmont, who was making his first senior appearance.

Here's a look at how supporters reacted to Wednesday night's win...
