The Hamilton Hero Developing Livingston Lions - Lanarkshire Live Sport Podcast #5

He's with Livingston now - but part of Dougie Imrie will always be in South Lanarkshire.

After making his name in the junior game with Lanark United, the hard-working winger made 277 appearances over two spells at Hamilton Accies.

He was a coach at New Douglas Park too up until his exit from the club in the summer, now forming part of David Martindale's backroom team at Livingston.

It's been a difficult year for Accies after relegation from the Premiership and a tough start to life in the Championship.

Imrie feels that, even amid some concern amongst the fanbase for Hamilton's long-term direction, the club legend is urging everyone to stick together.

On his own personal terms, the 38-year-old has been linked with the vacant Greenock Morton job since the recording of this conversation - and he'd love to become his own man one day.

Covering his career at Hamilton, new role at Livingston and his work in developing youngsters at the West Lothian outfit, Imrie is the fifth guest on the Lanarkshire Live Sport Podcast.
