Arsenal manager Unai Emery has given Gunners fans hope that they could sign Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech during this summer transfer window.
Ziyech is one of the most sought after attacking players in European football after his performances for the Dutch side last season. The 26-year-old scored an impressive 16 goals and provided 17 assists in 29 Eredivisie appearances.
He also impressed during his club's run to the Champions League Semi-finals, where they were eventually beaten in dramatic style by Tottenham Hotspur. The Moroccan international got three goals and three assists during the competition, including netting in the semi-final against Spurs.
Arsenal are on the lookout for a new wide man this summer, and names that have been linked include Ryan Fraser, Yannick Carrasco and Wilfried Zaha, but many fans believe that Ziyech fits the bill.
Emery has now got Arsenal fans talking by 'liking' a tweet urging the Spaniard to sign Ziyech. The message translating as: "There are new players this week, bro? Ziyech said he was waiting for a call from Arsenal."
Although the tweet has now been removed from the manager's 'likes', Arsenal fans were quick to notice and take a screenshot for evidence, and share it on social media for other fans to see.
Whether or not it was a slip of a finger from the Arsenal boss, or a hint at the club's next transfer move is still to be seen, but it didn't stop some fans sharing their excitement on social media.
