The Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson is coming to a Glasgow festival

The author of one of the most loved children's books of all time is set to appear at Glasgow's West End Festival.

Julia Donaldson, creator of The Gruffalo, will be appearing at the festival for two special performances.

As well as Julia, the events will feature her husband Malcolm and award winning illustrator Catherine Rayner at the Kelvin Gallery, in association with The Hunterian Museum, on Saturday, June 22 at 11am and 3pm.

The family-friendly performances will celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Gruffalo as well as showcase a new collaboration award-winning illustrator Catherine Rayner.

Their new creation The Go-Away Bird was inspired by Julia's trip to South Africa.

Julia Donaldson was a Glasgow resident for a number of years and created The Gruffalo when living in the city.

Tickets for the event cost between £5 and £25 and can be bought HERE.
