The Greats: masterpieces from the National Gallery of Scotland is a collection of some of the greatest works by the European old masters, including Botticelli, Cézanne, Gauguin, Leonardo, Monet, Raphael, Titian, Velázquez and Vermeer. Over 70 artworks and drawings from across four centuries show the skill of these artists, and it will be the the first time all but two of these works have been exhibited in Australia.
The exhibition unfolds in rooms devoted to the art of Italian Renaissance, the Baroque in Southern and Northern Europe, the French and British enlightenment, 19th century Scotland and impressionism. Not to be missed.
