The Greatest Dancer fans question show shake-up as former star replaced

The Greatest Dancer series two viewers took to Twitter over a series shake-up, noticing someone from last series was missing.

As the show kicked off with captains Cheryl, Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse, and newbie Todrick Hall, some fans were confused.

They noticed the quirky receptionist from last year was no longer there, with Love Island star Curtis Pritchard taking her place.

This had been confirmed last year when the series auditions began, but some viewers appeared to miss the memo.

Instead, they tuned in and noticed Amelia Wilson was a no-show.

She was often seen at the receptionist desk answering phone calls, and welcoming in contestants.

But on Saturday night, it was AJ Pritchard's brother Curtis sat in her place.

While plenty of fans were loving seeing Maura Higgins' boyfriend on the show, others were unsure.

Some fans simply wanted the former receptionist back, missing her and her antics.

While she was on the show, it was reported that Amelia was hoping to keep a low profile so perhaps this is why Curtis was drafted in.

One viewer said: "Can we have the old receptionist back please?"

Another said: "Can't believe they got rid of the cool receptionist for Curtis."

A third added: "The biggest face palm moment of 2020, @BBCOne switching last years receptionist with @CurtisPritchard whhhhhhhhhy???"

Meanwhile, one impressed fan who liked the replacement said: "That Curtis has a really lovely face."

The Greatest Dancer continues Saturdays on BBC One.
