A brand new all-day music festival is coming to Edinburgh next month.
The Great Eastern will land in the capital in November, following the success of The Great Western festival in Glasgow which debuted in 2019, and will feature tonnes of Scottish music artists.
The event will take place on Saturday 27 November and at multiple different Edinburgh venues, including several rooms within the Summerhall and nearby locations, The Queen's Hall and King's Hall.

Some of the highlighted headline acts for Edinburgh's first Great Eastern include Beak, Field Music, Tracyanne & Danny and Free love.
All of the performing acts stem from different backgrounds and music genre's. There are indie, rock, jazz and even a drums duo attending the festival, meaning there's something for every age group.
Field music are new to this year's line-up and offer a North East Art rock genre of music and they will be performing their acclaimed new album Flat White Moon to the capital for a long overdue airing.
Glasgow will be hosting its own Great Western festival after recent success in which some of the same acts will be performing.
Glasgow's very own electro-spiritual power couple Free Love will be joining the line-up in Edinburgh this year and will be bringing their extra-terrestrial synth salutations back to the capital for a stunning autumn night celebration.
The festival will also welcome inimitable US multi-instrumentalist B.C. Camplight who recently released his devastatingly beautiful fifth album Shortly After Takeoff on Bella Union to a sparkling array of reviews.
Edinburgh's Summmerhall residents, The Skinny, will also be hosting their own stage as part of The Great Eastern.
