>> Funeral festivities are performed on Thursday night through to dawn on Friday in front of the Royal Crematorium as part of the funeral procession to pay final tribute to the late King Bhumibol.
The artistic performances, involving more than 3,000 dancers on three open stages in the northern part of Sanam Luang, are meant to mark the ending of the official mourning period.
Apart from a khon masked drama on the Ramakian, there are also other performances including hun luang and hun krabok puppet shows, a nang yai shadow play, a ballet inspired by the story of Manora and an orchestra playing music composed by the late King.
