The Grand Budapest Hotel is to be screened in city centre bar

The Grand Budapest Hotel is being screened at a bar in the city centre this week.

The Wes Anderson-directed classic is being shown at the Flying Duck on Thursday, May 23 – and there are still tickets left to be snapped up.

The quirky and complex film follows hotel concierge Gustave H and his protege 'lobby boy' Zero at a European ski resort in the 1930s. Gustave finds himself accused of murder after one of the elderly hotel guests – and one of his many lovers – dies and passes on to him a priceless painting.

Award-winning poet Andrea Gibson set for rare performance in Glasgow

If the plot doesn't quite sell it for you, maybe the star-studded cast will: The Grand Budapest Hotel features several big-name actors including Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, Tilda Swinton and Saoirse Ronan.

Tickets are £4 and you can get them here .

Check out the event page on Facebook for further info.
