There’s nothing better than spending the weekend indulging in sweet treats and decadent foods - and there’s a food market not far from Liverpool that is perfect for it.
Cheshire Food Festival takes place in the grounds of Walton Hall , with food and drink producers bringing their mouth-watering delights to the gardens.
More than 50 traders will be setting up shop on April 13 and 14 from 10am to 5pm, and among them are artisan food producers and street food vendors.

Traders will be busy making, preserving, baking and packing jams, cakes, cheese, chocolates and plenty of other treats for visitors to indulge in.
Alongside the delicious foods, there will be chef demonstrations, live music on the band stand and kids entertainment, including a petting zoo, kids corner and crazy golf.
Dan Maycock, one of the event organisers said: “We have got a great mix of local produce and best of British, coming from further afield.

“On the hot food front you will be able to try anything from traditional hog roast to Thai dishes, so hopefully something for all tastes.”
Families can take along a blanket to the free event and enjoy the day in the gardens, surrounded by food, drink and live music.
