Viewers of hit TV show Line of Duty were left in awe of the beautiful cottage where character Jo Davidson was placed in witness protection.

One character did have a happy ending though, and was shown to be living in a beautiful new home under witness protection. A short scene showed Davidson leaving a stunning stone cottage in an undisclosed location with a new partner and a bounding golden retriever - a far cry from the life her character was born into.
Google Trends data shows a huge spike in searches for the cottage at the time of the show's airing, and throughout bank holiday Monday.
Holiday experts at lastminute-cottages.co.uk believe they have tracked down the whereabouts of the cottage, and believe it to be in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The red-doored cottage in the programme has been likened by many on Twitter to the home in 2006’s romantic comedy ‘The Holiday’, starring Kate Winslet and Jude Law.
