The 'good problem' for Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce ahead of Chelsea clash

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that he is close to having a full squad for the trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow (Saturday).

The Magpies visit west London looking to pick up where they left off before the international break, after defeating Manchester United 1-0 at St James' Park.

And Bruce has been buoyed by the fact that he has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from for the game against Chelsea , with the Newcastle boss confirming that he is only without two injured players - and the suspended Isaac Hayden for the clash.

"At the minute we only have Matt Ritchie and big Flo (Lejeune) injured," he said, speaking at his pre-match press conference.

"We’re nearing towards a full squad. (Those two) are there or thereabouts."

Lejeune is currently out with a knee injury, while Ritchie is continuing his recovery from surgery on an ankle injury.

Bruce added that the small injury list poses a problem for him, but one that he is relishing ahead of the game against Frank Lampard's Blues.

"I'd only been here a few weeks and I hadn't seen some of them play," he said.

"It was good to see them on the training ground and see what they've got.

"Now I have a good problem because I have to leave four or five of them behind."
