Thanks for all your suggestions on our last week's blog. Here are a few highlights from this week.
Touchline news
To say Paolo Di Canio was excited by his first win as a Sunderland manager would be an understatement. The afternoon did not work out so well for Newcastle. It's the hope that kills you, Alan.
In other touchline news, Robin van Persie celebrated his return to goalscoring form by high-fiving his relieved manager. Even in his 72nd year, Alex Ferguson's eye-hand coordination remains sharper than that of men half his age.
The many sides of Big Sam
Sam Allardyce seemed to enjoy a contented moment of silence alone in his thoughts as Mohamed Diamé celebrated scoring against Manchester United. Rio Ferdinand said that West Ham United were worth their point, even if Allardyce's team had stretched the boundaries of acceptability. Either way, it's good to see the big man in happier form.
Prince's parade
For comparable football skills, you have to go to a basketball court.
Drinking games
When Boston Bruins assistant coach Geoff Ward was having some trouble with his earpiece, he took it out and threw it over his shoulder with the nonchalance of a man who did not know he was about to make the spectator behind him wonder if God was dropping electrical equipment from the heavens.
Elsewhere on the sporting stands of America, this man used his beer glass to make an unlikely catch, but was not so good at finding his mouth.
