The Giants’ latest injury update is terrible news for Daniel Jones

The New York Giants are set to play the New England Patriots on the road with only a few days to prepare on a short week, and even if rookie quarterback Daniel Jones’ squad was entirely healthy, he would be at a tremendous disadvantage against arguably the best team in the NFL.

Unfortunately for Danny Dimes, he’ll be without his three most-effective weapons on Thursday night, and things could get ugly quickly at Gillette Stadium.

The Giants announced on Wednesday that Saquon Barkley, Evan Engram, Sterling Shepard and Wayne Gallman will all miss Week 6.

Barkley has made astounding progress in his recovery from a high ankle sprain in Week 3, but the Giants have little to gain by rushing their franchise player back for what is likely to be a squash game against the Pats, and are wisely resting him.

For fantasy and DFS players, the Patriots defense is now a must-play in Week 6. NFL fans are keeping Jones in their thoughts during this trying time.
