The garden centres and DIY stores back open to the public

Phase one of lifting the lockdown restrictions means that a number of businesses that had previously been ordered to close have now reopened.

Among the businesses now back open with social distancing rules in place are garden centres and hardware stores, with more non-essential retail businesses expected to reopen in June.

While many are now fully open to the public some hardware stores are still operating a click-and-collect service.

The number of people inside the garden centres must also be limited so customers can keep two metres from each other, while in-store cafes must stay closed.

Not all the businesses that are now open to customers will have their usual opening and closing times so it’s best to check beforehand.

The ECHO has compiled a list of the garden centres and hardware stores that are now back open to the public.
