The games Reiss Nelson will miss as Arsenal and Unai Emery are handed fresh injury blow

Arsenal and Unai Emery have been handed a fresh injury blow.

Wonderkid Reiss Nelson, who has made six appearances across all competitions so far this season, has been ruled out of this next Monday's Premier League clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Furthermore, he's set to be out of action for several games following the international break.

Nelson's withdrawal from international duty with the England Under-21's was initially a slight concern for Arsenal but football.london has since confirmed that Nelson will miss a fortnight of action after undergoing a scan on his knee injury last Friday.

Nelson picked up the injury during a 4-0 Europa League win over Standard Liege.

The games he could potentially miss pan over three different competitions - Premier League, Europa League and Carabao Cup - Sheffield United (a) , Vitoria (h) , Crystal Palace (h) and Liverpool (a) .

Arsenal have three games in November before the international break.

At home to Wolves in the Premier League on the 2nd, a trip to Portugal to face Vitoria three days later in the Europa League before facing Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on November 9th and it remains to seen if Nelson will be fit for any of those encounters.

Failing that, his return from injury could come when the Gunners face Southampton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday November 23.

This would mean Nelson will have missed seven games in total.
