The Game of Thrones finale is currently its worst rated episode ever on IMDB

Lots of conversations and pieces of writing about Game of Thrones in the past few weeks have mentioned if the show runners DB Weiss and David Benioff can 'stick the landing' going into the final episode.

So far, general consensus is that no they cannot.

The show reached its climax after 73 episodes spread across eight seasons and as is now customary - the internet is not happy with what they got.

Some fans were so entitled and enraged last week that a petition was started begging HBO to remake the season - it gained over half a million signatures.

As a result, last week's episode 'The Bells' has a 6.5 rating on IMDB , placing it above episode four 'The Last of the Starks (5.9) but way below The Long Night (7.9).

Game of Thrones finale: Who ended up on the throne and what happened to every character?

That's nothing compared to the finale though.

'The Iron Throne' currently has a brutal rating of just 4.8, the lowest of any episode in the show ever.

Now of course, this is likely to change over time and will either go up or down once the show is repeated on Sky Atlantic at 9pm in the UK, and as people re watch it over time.

Still, it doesn't make for nice reading.
