The Galleries in Bristol to be taken over by huge zombie survival experience

A terrifying zombie survival experience is returning to Bristol, following a successful debut in the city earlier this year.

Zombie Nightmare is an hour-long post-apocalyptic adventure which takes place in The Galleries - and the team behind it say their next event will be 'bigger and better' than their first.

The event sees brave teams of survivors exploring the shopping centre after hours in a bid to end the zombie apocalypse once and for all.

With military forces now completely defeated and civilisation in ruins, it is up to you to find out what went wrong.

The award-winning experience has been described as an 'excellent piece of immersive theatre' by some who have taken part, allowing the audience to become the stars of the show.

Zombie Nightmare combines clues you would expect to find in escape rooms, moments of deep suspense and terror and theatrical interactions to make for a thrilling adventure.

It has been crowned as the UK’s best zombie experience at the ScareCON awards held annually at Alton Towers and event director Ash Gamon said he can’t wait to bring the experience back to Bristol.

"We loved putting the event on at The Galleries earlier this year and it had a great response from our zombie loving guests," he told Bristol Live.

"We have made the event even bigger with more zombies, more scares and a brand-new mission. We’re even using more of the shopping centre and some spectacular unseen areas."

Dates and tickets

The events take place throughout the evening on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.

Tickets are priced at £45 per person, plus booking fee, and are on sale now. Organisers say they are selling fast so you'll need to be quick if you want to get involved.

Tickets are available on Zombie Nightmare's website.
