Captain Leroy Fer's career at Swansea City is over.
The Dutchman is one of several high-profile players to have seen out their contract at the Liberty Stadium and, despite holding initial talks over a new deal before the end of the season, is now set to depart.
Fer was made captain by boss Graham Potter at the start of last season, but saw his impact hampered by injury, playing just six minutes of competitive football since the end of the January.
He initially came close to leaving the Liberty Stadium in the last transfer window, with Aston Villa and Lille coming close to completing a move, but was believed to be open to staying at the Liberty Stadium.
Similarly, Swansea were initially understood to be keen on extending his deal, but his injury record, combined with the club's financial situation, has seen his stock fall.

It's not yet been decided who will take up the role of captain in Fer's absence, although the most likely candidate is believed to be fellow countryman and current vice-captain Mike van der Hoorn, who's impressed when called upon in taking the armband.
Other big names to leave include Martin Olsson, Luciano Narsingh and Wilfried Bony, all of whom had been widely expected to depart this summer given their relatively high wages and lack of game time.
Experienced winger Wayne Routledge has also been officially released, despite stating that he wanted to stay at the club.
Routledge had previously stated that he hoped it would be possible to "sort something out", adding that he and his family were settled in South Wales.
However, it now seems that an agreement could not be reached, and he is now set to be a free agent this summer, although he could yet be back at SA1 before the start of the season, with Swansea sources claiming that contract talks could well start up again in the coming weeks.

Other players to leave include Ryan Blair, Keston Davies, Adam King, Aaron Lewis, Adnan Maric, Tyler Reid and Jack Withers from the under-23s, while under-18s members Owen Evans, Scott Reed, Jayden Reid, Nathan Shepperd and Shaquille Wynter-Coles have also been released.
Meanwhile, new deals have been offered to Matt Blake, Josh Gould, Tom Price, Cameron Evans, Mason Jones-Thomas, Marc Walsh and Daniel Williams.
