The full Senedd election result 2021 for Ceredigion as Plaid's Elin Jones increases her majority

Plaid's Elin Jones has held her seat in Ceredigion with an increase majority as the LIb Dem vote collapsed.

Ms Jones, who as Llwydd chairs Plenary sessions in the Senedd, won 55.1% of the vote - up from 40.7% five years ago.

Elin Jones has been Ceredigion MS since 1999.

The party is normally challenged by the Liberal Democrats but their candidate Cadan ap Tomos saw their share of the vote shredded - down from 32% in 2016 to just 10.49% at this election.

The Lib Dems came in fourth place, behind the Conservatives and Labour, in a seat they used to hold at Westminster.

  • Amanda Jenner (C) 4,801 (15.61%, +8.57%)
  • Dylan Lewis-Rowlands (Lab) 3,345 (10.88%, +4.43%)
  • Cadan ap Tomos (LD) 3,227 (10.49%, -22.09%)
  • Harry Hayfield (Green) 1,356 (4.41%, +0.26%)
  • Gethin James (Reform) 775 (2.52%)
  • Stephanie Evans (FA) 305 (0.99%)
  • PC maj 12,145 (39.49%)
  • 2.89% swing C to PC
  • Electorate 55,171; Turnout 30,755 (55.74%, -1.81%)
