The full list of schools in Neath Port Talbot affected by next week's school strike

A list of all the schools in Neath Port Talbot that will be affected by next week's teacher strike has been released by the local council. Schools including Bae Baglan and Brombil will be shut.

Thousands of staff are walking out of classrooms in a row over pay and conditions on February 1. Almost every school in Swansea and Cardiff will be affected . Further strikes are planned by the NEU teaching union for February 14, March 15 and 16.

Neath Port Talbot Council said its list of closures will be updated as more information becomes clear. But as of January 27 these are the schools that will be shut, partially shut, or open, when teachers walk out on February 1.

Schools across Wales will be affected next week as teachers and staff strike over pay and conditions. Thousands of teachers and staff are walking out in a strike by members of the National Education Union Cymru (NEU) on Wednesday, February 1 with further strikes planned for February 14, March 15 and 16.

Unions have dismissed the 5% pay offer from Welsh Government as an insult. They said an offer of a one of added payment, in addition to the 5%, made by Cardiff Bay after talks last week, would not avert strikes.
