The full list of Leeds United players who will get Championship winners' medals

Leeds United's long-awaited return to the Premier League has now been confirmed.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are Sky Bet Championship title winners after a superb season which saw them outrun the likes of West Brom, Brentford and Fulham.

The celebrations are well and truly underway for fans and players, but there is one question that might be on the minds of The Whites stars and indeed supports.

Who gets a winners' medal? Here's what you need to know.

What the rules say

The rules say anyone who has been included in at least 25% of the club’s team sheets for league games will get a medal, but there is hope for more extended members of the squad.

Leeds could decide to pay for more medals to ensure everyone gets some silverware.

The EFL rulebook says: “To be eligible to receive a Championship, League One or Two winners medal, a player must have been named on the team sheet in at least 25% of the club’s league fixtures in that season.

“Any medals agreed over and above those detailed above will be at cost to the Club concerned.”

That means players must have played in, or been on the bench for 12 Championship games.

What else do players get?

Not only will players get a Championship title medal, but they will also get a replica of the Championship trophy.

Well, at least some players will with 18 made available for players and others set aside for staff.

The EFL rulebook says: "The League shall present to the Championship Club of each Division 23 souvenirs comprising 18 for the Players, one for the chief administrator/club secretary, one for the Manager, one for the Senior Therapist and two for staff other than Players.

“It shall be the responsibility of the Club to determine to which of its Players the souvenirs should be presented.

“Additional souvenirs may be presented with the consent of The League.”
