British holidaymakers will soon be allowed to fly to France under the UK Government's new traffic light system.
Under the scheme, tourists will be able to travel to countries classed as green or amber. The full list of countries and exemptions will be announced by the government this week - with people able to go to those destinations from as early as next week, reports the Mirror.
France is expected to fall in the green or amber category, which means it's open to Brits. The system has been welcomed by the travel and tourism industry, which was effectively shut down at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office advised against all but essential foreign travel as airlines grounded their planes and accommodation was closed. But now the advice has changed and Brits can visit certain agreed destinations.
EasyJet, Jet2 and Ryanair are all resuming flights to France in July to various destinations.

EasyJet
The airline will be operating routes from the UK to a number of French destinations starting in July:

- Bordeaux
- Brest
- La Rochelle
- Lille
- Lyon
- Marseille
- Montpellier
- Nantes

- Toulouse
Jet2
In July, Jet2 will be operating UK flights to just two destinations in France: La Rochelle and Bergerac. The budget airline will then add a route to Paris in August.
Ryanair
Ryanair will also be flying from the UK to a handful of destinations in France this summer:
