The Friends sofa is coming to Cardiff as part of the US sitcom's 25th anniversary tour

The famous sofa from TV favourite Friends is stopping off in Cardiff later this month, giving fans the chance to have a one-off photo with the iconic three-seater.

A quarter of a century after Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey and Ross first appeared on TV screens across the world fans can congregate at a range of nationwide celebration events for events including the National Friends Sofa Tour.

It will be at Cardiff Castle on Thursday, September 19 , offering fans the chance to experience the sofa on a first-come-first-served basis throughout the day from  10am until 5pm .

Friends   remains one of television’s most beloved series. One of the highest-rated shows on television in its original network run, the series still remains a perennial go-to in syndication and on streaming services, where it continues to be a smash-hit worldwide.

Cardiff is one of only three UK dates on the tour, with the famous sofa otherwise visiting Ross Fountain and Edinburgh Castle on Monday, September 16, and Potters Field Park, Tower Bridge, London on Friday, September 20.

The famous sofa will also visit some iconic locations around the world including New York's Empire State Building, the Grand Canyon in Arizona, the Royal Palace in Madrid, and the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
