Henry Winkler has joined the cast of Wes Anderson's new film.
The actor, 73, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in HBO's Barry, has closed a deal to star in The French Dispatch, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Timothée Chalamet, Benicio del Toro, Jeffrey Wright have already boarded the project, alongside the director's frequent collaborators Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Saoirse Ronan, Bob Balaban, Adrien Brody, and Tilda Swinton.
Details on the project are thin, but the film is currently shooting in France and is set in 20th century at the Paris bureau of an American newspaper, threading together three different storylines.
Winkler is best-known for his role as the Fonz on the 1970s sitcom Happy Days.
His current role on Barry sees him play Gene Cousineau, the acting coach to Bill Hader's hitman, who has moved to Los Angeles and become an actor.
Alongside his Golden Globe nomination, Winkler won the Emmy back in September, will also receiving SAG and Critic's Choice Awards nominations. He has just wrapped shooting season two of Barry.
