Chelsea Dagger hitmakers The Fratellis have been hit by multiple cases of Covid 19 and forced to cancel their tour dates in Dundee and Rutherlgen.
The band, who have on the road with their 6th album 'Half Drunk Under A Full Moon ' released in May 2020, had to break the news to fans after several members amongst the band and crew became ill with coronavirus.
And the group whose track Whistle For The Choir appears in a big action scene for Suicide Squad 2 told their fans of their disappointment at having to cancel at the eleventh hour.
In a statement they wrote: 'The Fratellis are disappointed to announce that their shows in Dundee and Rutherglen this week have been cancelled due multiple cases of Covid-19 among the band and crew.'
Frontman Jon Fratelli added: "We’re gutted to have to cancel the last 2 shows of this tour as we’ve had so much fun over the past month getting back out and playing to crowds again.
"Hopefully we’ll get back on the road as soon as everyone is fit and healthy again."
Ticket holders were also asked to contact their ticket provider for a full refund.
Fans sent the band wishes and one said: "While it’s disappointing for those with tickets, like most of you have said, let’s just hope everyone is fine.
"Health comes first, take it from someone who is severely immunocompromised & hasn’t been able to leave the house since the pandemic started. Feel better!"
Another added: "Gutted to hear this, was so looking forward to it. More important that you are all healthy and hopefully no one is suffering too much with the symptoms. Looking forward to rescheduled gig in March."
