The Fratellis fans delighted as hit single remixed by Rudimental

Fratellis fans were sent wild this weekend as one of their hit singles was remixed by Rudimental.

The Scots band's tune Need a Little Love was picked up by the electronic act and given a creative mix - much to the amazement of fans.

And Rudimental said they were so excited to collaborate with the Fratellis to create something different.

Bandmate Kesi Dyden added: “When we heard the original of The Fratellis track we're remixing, we were like, wow. It's a great song, but it's so different from what we make and our sound. It's quite exciting for us to step out of our comfort zone.”

The Fratellis singer and songwriter Jon Fratelli said they were delighted to collaborate with Rudimental and loved trying 'something different'.

He said: “We had a lot of fun collaborating with Rudimental on this remix. It's not something we've really ever done before so we are pleased with how well it turned out."

And fans were loving it too.

One wrote: "Great remix of a superb track from a stunning album by a top bunch of guys."

Another said: "Love that!"

One commented: "yes king."

And another added: "Just gets better every play."

Having been unable to perform live for well over a year, The Fratellis are making up for lost time with two UK tours in the pipeline.

In September, they will take in smaller regional venues, with all profits from the tour going to independent record stores and The Fratellis' road crew.

The band will then take on a UK tour in Spring 2022, including two hometown shows at Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom.

Tickets are available here.

Just last month, The Fratellis announced a special digital download of their new album with all profits going to three different children's charities.

The album Half Drunk Under A Full Moon includes their live cover of Baccara's “Yes Sir, I Can Boogie” as performed on the Chris Evans Breakfast show.

The Fratellis and label Cooking Vinyl have decided to donate 100 per cent of their income from the 'Charity Boogie Bundle' to children's charities: The Tartan Army Children's Charity, SoccerAid and The Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund.
