The four Tottenham players Jose Mourinho could use at right-back to give Serge Aurier a rest

Jose Mourinho has a lack of options at right-back as things stand at present.

While Serge Aurier is currently fit and available for Tottenham, the head coach will have a problem on his hands if the Ivorian picks up an injury.

Japhet Tanganga has been used as a right-back so far in 2020 but is currently injured, while Juan Foyth, who plays there for Argentina, is also in the treatment room at present.

There is also no Kyle Walker-Peters to select either as the young defender headed to Southampton on a loan deal for the remainder of the season back in January.

But who could play there if Aurier picks up an injury during Spurs' hectic league schedule?

Asked by football.london if he needs to be creative in the position, Mourinho said: "Yes. We don't have Japhet and Foyth, which is a boy who played there with Argentina and under Mauricio a few times.

"The right-back position is not available so I'd yes it's where are a little bit more in trouble.

"In training we did sometimes Skipp, we did sometimes Gedson.

"We know we can also do Toby because a few years ago he used to do that sometimes with Atletico Madrid, and Southampton I think he did sometimes a couple of times.

"So in emergency situations here we go. Even Moussa Sissoko did it already too. So yes it's the position we don't have a second body."

With Walker-Peters starting off the season at right-back in Aurier's absence, Davinson Sanchez was even played there by Mauricio Pochettino for the game against Arsenal.

Sissoko has also been utilised there this campaign and played in the position in the heavy defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion back in October.
