This season's Premier League relegation battle could be decided by games yet to be scheduled, with Newcastle United looking nervously at the fixture list.
The Magpies had games against Everton and Southampton postponed over Christmas due to Covid, but relegation rivals Burnley are still waiting for four games to be rescheduled.
Sean Dyche's side have three games in hand on Newcastle, with Tuesday night's scheduled game with Watford now in doubt after the Clarets requested a postponement.

Should the game go ahead then a win for Burnley would allow them to climb above Newcastle and Norwich to 18th. A win by two goals would mean they would go above Watford on goal difference and move out of the relegation one, whilst they'd still have a game in hand over the Hornets.
As well as the Watford game, Burnley still have four fixtures from earlier in the season which need to be rearranged and could play a big part in deciding who goes down.
Significantly, three of those games are at home, with Burnley still to face Tottenham, Leicester and Everton at Turf Moor, plus a trip to take on Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa.
Burnley fixtures to reschedule
- Aston Villa (A)
- Tottenham Hotspur (H)
- Leicester (H)
- Everton (A)
Given that Burnley have played 17 games this season and only won once, it seems unlikely that they will get a large amount of points from their games in hand, but it will certainly be making teams like Newcastle nervous to know that they are in the sights of the Lancashire side.
Eddie Howe will hope to be able to improve his team's own form to a point that Burnley fade into the distance behind them, regardless of their games in hand.
