The four Leicester City players Brendan Rodgers will be without for huge Tottenham clash

Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City will go head-to-head in a huge final day encounter when they meet at the King Power Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Both sides, who were were both beaten 2-1 in midweek, will head into the contest with huge implications riding on it.

Leicester have to avoid defeat to stand any chance of making it into the top-four, whilst Spurs, who have seen speculation concerning the future of star striker Harry Kane dominate their pre-match preparations, have to win and hope West Ham United lose at home to Southampton to climb into sixth and secure a UEFA Europa League berth.

With that in mind, both sides are expected to throw everything at it in their hopes of securing their respective ambitions, even though a win for either side may still not be enough, with results elsewhere poised to dictate where they finish in the table this season.

Whilst interim Spurs boss Ryan Mason has been able to issue fairly good news on the injury front ahead of the trip to the Midlands, confirming that defenders Japhet Tanganga and Ben Davies are the only absentees, Brendan Rodgers, who has been linked with landing the Tottenham job and succeeding Jose Mourinho, has not been so lucky.

After picking up an ankle problem in last weekend's FA Cup final victory over Chelsea, centre-back Jonny Evans will miss out once again, meaning his season has come to a premature ending.

Speaking on Friday in his pre-match press conference, Rodgers said: "Jonny Evans will miss out. Everyone else who was available the other night will be available."

Whilst it is a real blow to have lost Evans at such a key stage of the season, Rodgers, fortunately, has not been dealt any fresh injury concerns following Tuesday evening's defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

However, whilst he has no new casualties to deal with, Evans, who has been superb in the Foxes push for a top-four berth this season, has joined James Justin, Harvey Barnes and Cengiz Under in the treatment room.

Long-term absentees Justin and Barnes saw their campaigns brought to an end in February and March, respectively. Justin, formerly of Luton Town is out with an ACL injury, whilst Barnes is also on the road to recovery with a knee problem.

Under is also poised to miss out because of a hip problem, meaning his loan spell at the King Power Stadium looks set to end in disappointment.

Aside from those four being set to miss out, Rodgers has no other injury concerns to sweat over, meaning he still has a large crop of players to choose from to lock horns with Mason's side, who will be targeting a return to winning ways following Wednesday's home defeat to Aston Villa.
