The four Covid symptoms reported by people who were double-jabbed

We all know by now vaccination is the best and most sure-fire way to avoid becoming seriously ill from coronavirus.

However those who have had both jabs can still catch the virus, and report some symptoms.

According to the ZOE Covid Symptom study, a research project with analysis from King's College London, found that those who caught the virus after vaccination report different symptoms to the main ones we've all become so used to hearing about such as high temperature, continuous cough, loss or change to taste and smell to name a few.

Four main symptoms among double-jabbed people have been reported and these are as follows:

  • headache
  • runny nose
  • sneezing
  • sore throat

Researchers wrote in the study: "Generally, we saw similar symptoms of Covid-19 being reported overall in the app by people who had and hadn’t been vaccinated.

"However, fewer symptoms were reported over a shorter period of time by those who had already had a jab, suggesting that they were falling less seriously ill and getting better more quickly."

They added: "Curiously, we noticed that people who had been vaccinated and then tested positive for Covid-19 were more likely to report sneezing as a symptom compared with those without a jab."

Those who have received one dose of vaccine report the same four symptoms, plus a persistent cough.

The Scottish Government confirmed on Tuesday that a total of 3,879,458 people had received their first dose of Covid vaccine, and 2,791,071 have received both doses.
