The four-bedroom apartment overlooking Caswell Bay with one of the best sea views in Wales

If beach, bay and sea views are the core of a property search for a house hunter, this home right next to a beautiful sandy shore should surely score a perfect 10.

It resides within the distinctive block of flats on the shoreline called Redcliffe apartments, perfectly positioned adjacent to the stunning Caswell Bay Beach on Gower Peninsula.

But don't think because it's an apartment it's going to be short on space - the home has three bedrooms plus a bonus, and rather surprising, additional one-bed self-contained annexe at one end of the property.

And just when you think this apartment is done surprising you, a door in the sunny main lounge brings you out into an equally sunny private garden, elevated above and overlooking the golden sand; yes, it's a flat with a garden, even though it's not on the ground floor.

If you can ever drag yourself away from the lounger on the lawn, the surrounding area of Gower coast and country has, of course, so many glorious coastal walks, beaches to explore, cafes to enjoy and outdoor activities to try.

But for a more leisurely life, literally just a few steps away from the home is Caswell Bay Beach that could be your daily outdoor companion, with refreshing sea breezes in your face and soft sand between your toes.

With steps directly from the apartment block or the private garden onto the beach below, this home is a beach-lover's paradise combined with a garden enthusiast's perfect plot, complete with garden shed and greenhouse.

With three bedrooms and the extra annexe, any owner of this amazing beach abode will surely be getting a lot of visitors saying they want your company but maybe also desperate for a day at the beach.

When this inevitably happens, it's handy that this leasehold apartment comes with three allocated parking spaces too, within the private car park accessed via a secure gated entrance.

Once inside the flat, it's inevitable that everyone will at some point be drawn to the large picture windows by the magnetic pull of the uninterrupted and panoramic sea view outside, accompanied by the sound of the waves and also inevitably the occasional screech of a gull.

But there'll be no pasty snatching by the local bird life at this apartment though because if your feathered-friends start circling above you as you enjoy your lunch alfresco in the garden, there are plenty of spaces for socialising and enjoying the sea views inside.

The main living room at one end of the flat has high ceilings and is a space that runs the whole depth of the home, from front to back.

This room is spacious enough to easily accommodate a number of sofas, a dining table and the current owners have even found a place for a piano with no difficulty.

This entertainment hub of the home is at the end of a central corridor that runs through the flat, with all rooms running off it, either side.

Leaving the lovely lounge, the corridor brings you to the kitchen breakfast room on one side and the master bedroom on the other.

The kitchen might not have a sea view but it is an inviting space that offers all the appliances you need, including a five-hob range cooker, plus attractive white quartz worktops, double sink and a breakfast bar that can welcome up to three kitchen visitors.

As this is a leasehold flat, no alterations to the inside configuration could be considered without the freeholder's permission but if they were to give approval, and planning consent was secured, the wall between the kitchen and lounge, plus a large chunk of the corridor could be incorporated into the lounge space to create a vast open-plan room.

Of course, as this is a block of flats, any changes also have fire safety implications which would also need to be investigated.

But if no changes are possible, the flat's current floorplan flows very easily.

If changes also sound like too much hard work and multiple headaches that will distract you from enjoying fully the location, the only headache really should be which bedroom to choose as your main.

They all have sea views, although one is slightly bigger than the other two, so can claim to be the principal.

And if this amount of bedrooms is not required, despite the many guests you're bound to have beating a path to your seaside front door, the functions of the other bedrooms could be varied.

One could be a home office with surely one of the best views in the region from the desk, a gym, or children's bedrooms if a family decides the seaside life is the life for them all year round, not just for a holiday.

Whatever function the new owner of the apartment decides to bestow on each bedroom, they are likely to choose the biggest as the main room, which is next to the lounge.

Imagine falling asleep to the patchwork of stars outside and waking up to the sun dancing across the clear, blue sea, all from the bed positioned opposite the window; surely an idea of blissful living for many people?

Although this sleeping space has a bonus basin, maybe the bedroom next door could become a dressing room and walk-in wardrobe because this flat already has four toilets, two bathrooms and a cloakroom just down the central hall, so an ensuite is arguably not required.

But an added door in the partition wall, with permission, could create an amazing dressing room with an enviable coastal view.

Further on down the central corridor, past the three bedrooms, family bathroom, entrance hall and cloakroom you will discover this apartment's bonus space and, as with the garden, it's a surprise.

Through one, dedicated door there is a self-contained 'mini' apartment waiting to greet you.

It has a cloakroom, its own hall, a double bedroom, a shower room and an open-plan kitchen, diner and lounge at the front of the space, resulting in a duo of sea views from the two windows, one in the lounge zone and one in the cooking and eating zone.

Crucially this extra annexe has its own front door at the rear of the building, as well as double fire door access inside to the main flat, so maybe two generations of one family can decide that relocating to the beach is the best next move for all of them.

The Caswell Bay brilliant abode is on the market for offers over £700,000 with Fine & Country, call their Swansea branch on 01792 367301 to find out more.
