The four areas in Bristol which are almost 'Covid free'

Nine areas in Bristol recorded a handful of covid cases in recent days, latest government data shows.

The figures also show four areas in the city continued to record fewer than three covid cases in recent days.

That was the case earlier this week as well, with the last time this happened being more than two months ago at the beginning of December.

Clifton Village, Westbury Village, Crews Hole and Redland & St Andrew's had its data suppressed - which means there were fewer than three cases - in the seven days to February 20.

Eight areas in North Somerset and one in South Gloucestershire also recorded fewer than three cases in the latest data set.

All areas in the Bristol region are continuing to record infection rates below 400 per 100,000.

This comes after on Monday (February 22) Boris Johnson outlined his plans to ease restrictions and released a series of key dates to get us gradually closer to the kind of lives we lived before.

Below are the neighbourhoods with a case rate below 50:

Where is the data coming from?

You can see the latest national data on the government's website.

The map displays weekly data, which are updated everyday.

The data can be viewed by local authority but also by smaller sections called 'Middle Super Output Areas'.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
