It's known as Manchester's hub of east Asian culture and cuisine.
But how do Chinatown's restaurants measure up when it comes to food hygiene?
We've compiled a list of all the eateries in the area and included their rating according to the Food Standards Agency website.
A rating of 5 means hygiene standards are very good, 4 means good, 3 means generally satisfactory, and 2 means some improvement is necessary. A score of 1 means major improvement is necessary, and 0 means urgent improvement is required.
Chinatown's results are a mixed bag, with two establishments boasting five stars while six had just one.
We've approached each business which got a score of less than 2 to give them the opportunity to explain.
