Pub company J.D. Wetherspoons owns almost 1,000 establishments in the UK - including more than a dozen in and around Bristol.
Many of the pubs are based in grand old buildings, such as the former Fishponds cinema built in 1926 which is now a 'Spoons' called The Van Dyck Forum.
While the pubs are perhaps best known for their cheap drinks, many have also built up reputations for their food.
