The Flash Glasgow filming: Warner Bros. confirm crew member injured during on-set accident

Warner Bros. have confirmed that a crew member was injured on the set of blockbuster movie The Flash in Glasgow city centre.

As we reported yesterday, production came to a halt after a camera operator on a motorbike collided with Batman's stunt man on the Batcycle while filming a high-speed scene on Renfield Street near to West George Street.

An ambulance was called to the scene to provide assistance, with an eyewitness informing Glasgow Live that film crews broke into a round of applause as it left, suggesting the camera operator left to go to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In a statement to Variety, a Warner Bros. spokesperson confirmed that the person in question avoided serious injury and received immediate medical assistance.

They said: "“An accident occurred while filming ‘The Flash,’ where thankfully nobody was seriously hurt.

"The crew member involved received immediate medical attention as a matter of protocol. We take the well-being of all our employees seriously and have strict health and safety procedures in place on all productions.”

Unconfirmed reports have since reached Glasgow Live that the camera operator in question has today returned to the set of the superhero movie, which is due for release in November 2022.
