The Flash Glasgow filming: Production halted as camera operator crashes into Batman on Batcycle

Filming for The Flash movie was halted this afternoon after an accident on the set of the blockbuster.

Eyewitnesses at the scene say the crew member collided with Batman on his Batcycle from behind while filming took place on Renfield Street in the city centre this afternoon.

It is understood an ambulance was called to the scene to attend to the injured crew member.

Reports suggest the camera operator was on a motorcycle shooting Batman from behind while travelling at speed down Renfield Street, before he collided with the stunt double and went under the Batcycle near to the junction of West George Street.

One eyewitness told Glasgow Live: "The camera man on a bike was chasing the Batman motorbike and went under it".

The eyewitness also informed us that the crew clapped as the ambulance then left the scene, suggesting the crew member was taken to hospital.

We hope the camera operators injuries are not serious.
