The five players Everton are 'tipped to sign' in the summer transfer window

It has been a mixed campaign for Marco Silva and Everton but there are certainly plenty of positive signs to build upon next season.

The Toffees have shown the capability to cause problems for the established top six, beating the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United - and could well threaten for their spots next season if more consistency is found.

One major positive for Everton in the past 12 months has been the impressive recruitment, with the likes of Richarlison, Lucas Digne and loanee Andre Gomes quickly establishing themselves as important players at Goodison Park.

Silva will aim to continue in that fashion this summer and, using BetVictor, we have identified the five signings they believe are most likely to arrive on the blue half of Merseyside this summer...

Aleksandar Mitrovic - Fulham (2/1)

Still just 24-years-old, Mitrovic has proven his worth in the Premier League by hitting 11 goals for a Fulham side that could not escape relegation.

A move to a top-flight club this summer could now be on the cards and Everton may see the Serbia international as the answer to their centre-forward problems.

David Neres - Ajax (8/1)

A key part of an Ajax side that has stunned European football this season by reaching the Champions League semi-finals, and securing first blood over Tottenham Hotspur with a 1-0 win in north London, David Neres is among a host of players within the squad who are expected to make the jump to a bigger side this summer.

Edin Dzeko - Roma (8/1)

Another potential striking option for Everton this summer, Edin Dzeko has Premier League experience following his time with Manchester City and may appeal to Marco Silva as signing the 33-year-old would not hamper the development of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Ayoze Perez - Newcastle United (8/1)

The 25-year-old Spaniard has caught the eye with Newcastle United this season, scoring 11 goals, and the attacking midfielder has been tipped for a move to a club in his homeland or one that can offer European football.

With Newcastle quite a way off that goal, a transfer this summer could occur.

Jonjo Shelvey - Newcastle United (8/1)

The 27-year-old former Liverpool man has found it difficult to nail down a regular berth in the Newcastle United squad this weekend and is a player the Magpies may entertain offers for in the summer to raise funds for their own activity in the market.
